The correct tire size is the starting point for an accurate quote, but size alone is not always enough to confirm fitment.
Read the sidewall code
A marking such as 225/45R17 identifies nominal width, aspect ratio, construction and wheel diameter. The service description also needs the load and speed ratings shown after the size.
Check the vehicle placard
The driver's door-jamb placard usually lists the manufacturer's recommended sizes and cold inflation pressures. Do not confuse the pressure on the placard with the maximum pressure moulded into a tire sidewall.
Account for alternate wheels
Winter wheel packages and previous modifications may use an approved alternate size. Send photos of the current tire markings and the placard so fitment can be checked against the actual setup.
Send the full vehicle identity
Include year, make, model and trim, plus the tire size and preferred season. Current stock, brand, size and suitability are confirmed before sale or installation.
